YG Unleashes '4REAL 4REAL'
YG’s album 4REAL 4REAL just dropped! YG’s energy is boisterous, striking, reflective, and genuine across the entirety of his fourth album.
YG remains true to the West Coast sound as expected; YG has become one of the leaders of this sound. As he proclaims “I’m the face of It” in the chorus on “Hard Bottoms & White Socks” to begin 4REAL 4REAL. YG is feeling himself and rightfully so, he has put in his time in the industry and his journey is one to respect in the highest regards. He also emulates the heart of his city and the pain and pride of the people.
YG continues to talk his sh*t on “Bottle Service” and raps about living life as someone who’s made it! With the lifestyle that YG’s career has afforded him it has brought out the fakes, the groupies, and the users. YG is unrelenting in his description of how grand he is and those that wish they truly had it.
In a recent interview with Big Boy TV YG, revealed that a portion of the proceeds from each song on the album will be given to Nipsey Hussle’s children. As the album is dedicated to Hussle.
YG included his speech from Nipsey’s memorial in loving memory of him on “My Last Words (Nipsey Tribute) ”. As YG referred to the late Nipsey Hussle as his “brother from the other color”. For YG, the bond stems way beyond music. Nipsey was someone in YG’s life that surpassed being just a friend. Nipsey was truly family to YG. This speaks volumes to how important and influential it is to have people like that by one’s side. Surrounding yourself with people that are beyond acquaintances, people that take you in and love you as their own and motivate you to reach for and accomplish goals that are bigger than you. “The Mother****** Marathon Continues.” TMC is much more than a momentary movement. The Marathon is a way of life that Hussle created and lived authentically by. Nipsey Hussle is an inspiration and legacy that will continue forever through his family, friends, and fans everywhere.
