Tyga Gets Loose in New Visual for “Ayy Macarena”

Since the release of Tyga’s “Ayy Macarena” single last month, the song has inspired a social media dance challenge appropriately named the #MacarenaChallenge. “Ayy Macarena” samples the original “Macarena” song by the Spanish flamenco-pop duo Los Del Río. The “Macarena” officially went #1 in 1996 when the song and dance swept the nation. 

Tyga’s “Ayy Macarena” visual features members Antonio Romeo Monge and Rafael Ruiz of Los Del Río. The amusing video references the 1994 film ‘The Mask’ starring Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. ‘The Mask was directed by Chuck Russell.
