2019 BET Awards Winners
The 2019 BET Awards was an incredible evening held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. The night was filled with dynamic performances and recognitions for entertainers and public figures across the fields of music, film, and humanitarianism.
The Awards was hosted by Regina Hall, who made sure to incorporate several moments dedicated towards her hometown of Washington D.C. With performances celebrating Go-Go Music and skits shedding light on the gentrification in D.C, to recognizing Howard University; audiences everywhere definitely received a mini history lesson on the culture of Washington, D.C. The show also included moving performers from H.E.R and YBN Cordae dedicated to The Exonerated Five formally known as The Central Park Five, Sudan, and America’s faults in general. A tribute to Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom was complete with a speech by T.I and performances from Marsha Ambrosius, YG, DJ Khaled, and John Legend.
